Carne Beach is a secluded stretch of sand on the Roseland Peninsula.
At high tide there is a little beach but when the waters retreat a beautiful stretch of sand and shingle with rocks at either end are revealed. Popular with families (and sometimes surfers if the conditions are right), the beach is overlooked by the stylish Nare Hotel where you can enjoy a delicious cream tea and some alcoholic beverages on a sunny evening.
This beach is dog-friendly all year and its large expanse offers plenty of space to stretch the legs.
Carne is owned and looked after by the National Trust. There is a National Trust carpark and public toilets just behind the beach.
