Trebarwith Strand
50° 38' 45" N 4° 45' 35" WTrebarwith Strand has a large beach at low tide backed by a network of rockpools
At low tide the beach extends almost a mile, however as the tide pushes in this all but disappears leaving just the rocks at the base of the cliffs.
The beach has many rockpools at low tide and with plenty of facilities and a seasonal lifeguard service. Trebarwith Strand is a great family beach, and locally it is perhaps best known as a surf beach, so swimming is advised only when the lifeguards are on duty.
If you do visit make sure you check the tides before going for a walk – each year a number of people need rescuing after becoming cut off by the tide.
There is a carpark on the road down to the beach and a great pub which overlooks the bay.
