Cober Valley
50° 7' 14" N 5° 16' 6" WThe Cober Valley is a beautiful inland area just outside Helston.
The Cober Valley is a mainly wooded nature reserve just outside the historic market town of Helston. Walks in this area take you around Loe Pool and to Loe Bar and even Porthleven for the more intrepid walker.
There is a large carpark called Fair Carpark which is conveniently located on the outskirt of Helston, and it takes about 40 minutes on foot to reach Loe Bar. A circular walks leads you around Loe Pool and back towards the car park. The ground can be steep and uneven in places, and swimming is forbidden at Loe Bar due to the steeply-sloped shingle beach and large waves. Nevertheless, it makes for a spectacular walk at any time of the year.

History of Cober Valley
