Porthkerris
50° 3' 52" N 5° 4' 0" WPorthkerris is a beautiful secluded cove tucked away on the eastern side of the Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall.
The reef, Drawna Rock, located just off the beach at Porthkerris is known for being one of the best shore dives in the UK. The dive centre; Porthkerris Divers accommodates solo and club divers from all over the UK and worldwide. The dive centre offers shore and field camping, on site accommodation as well as a dive shop, cafe, toilets, showers and camping facilities.
The beach is a nature reserve but fishing is permitted around the corner towards Porthallow Cove.
The private road down to Porthkerris Cove is approximately one mile long and narrow so care must be taken, but it’s well worth a visit.

History of Porthkerris
The area around Porthkerris has long been associated with fishing and maritime activities, with its proximity to the Manacles Reef—a site notorious for shipwrecks—adding to its historical significance. Directions to Porthkerris
From the A30, take the A394 towards Helston, then continue on the B3293 towards St Keverne. Follow local signs to Porthkerris Divers, as the beach is located at the end of a narrow country road.
Parking for Porthkerris
Porthkerris offers a large pay-and-display car park close to the beach, providing easy access to the diving centre and facilities. Parking is generally ample, but it can fill up during peak diving seasons. Early arrival is recommended for those planning to dive or visit the beach during the summer months.
