Pendennis Point
50° 8' 34" N 5° 2' 13" WPendennis Point gives far-reaching, uninhibited views of the Carrick Roads, St Mawes, St Anthony’s Head and out beyond to the open ocean.
A small gun tower called Little Dennis, originally built in the 16th century, is just one of the many features of interest that hints to the Points military past. The famous Pendennis Castle is an artillery fort commissioned to be built by Henry VIII between 1540-1545. Now owed by English Heritage, the castle is a major tourist attraction, however walks around the castle’s moat are free for all to enjoy on foot.
Pendennis Point is the best place in Falmouth to watch annual events such as the Red Arrows and the Tall Ships Regatta as well as various other racing events throughout the year.
Whilst there are no facilities or public conveniences on the point itself, an ice-cream van as well as specialist coffee is always to be found nearby and car parking is free.

Directions to Pendennis Point
Pendennis Point is located away from the town of Falmouth but is well signposted. Please note the road to the point itself is one way so access is best from Pendennis Rise.
Parking for Pendennis Point
There is a large free car park located at the point itself. Parking is limited in the summer as it's a popular stop off for visitors and locals.
