Teän is a uniquely shaped uninhabited island between St Martin's and Tresco.
What makes Teän so unique is its distinctive horseshoe shaped beach. The curved beach backs onto the low-lying grass top.
The island is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) due to the rare plants that are found here as well as its wildlife.
Taxi boats don’t go to Teän on their scheduled trips but the island can be reached by private boat or kayak.
