Gwynver Beach
50° 5' 34" N 5° 41' 24" WGwynver is a very picturesque and almost tropical looking beach near Sennen Cove.
Gwynver provides some of the best surfing conditions in Cornwall, attracting experienced locals with its ever-present waves. Lifeguards provide cover during the summer months and their advice should always be noted before going in the water as currents here can be strong.
Located in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the beach itself is sandy and around 150 metres long; at low tide it joins with its neighbouring beach at Sennen. The right hand side of the beach is dominated by the rocky headland, through which passes the South West Coast Path heading towards Cape Cornwall and providing spectacular views from the cliffs, and on fine days, across to the Isles of Scilly.
The carpark is privately owned and is located above the beach, spaces can be limited during the busy summer season.

Gwynver Beach is very picturesque and almost tropical looking when the conditions are favourable. With it’s white sands and blue water it’s a popular spot for those that venture down the steps from the car park above. Sennen Cove just down the coast is more popular as Gwynver doesn’t have any cafes or public amenities, however this is part of it’s charm; an unspoilt landscape.
