This stunning stone viaduct, constructed in the 19th century, was an integral part of the horse-drawn tramway system, transporting minerals from local mines to the ports for shipment. From the A30, take the A391 towards St Austell, then follow signs for Luxulyan. The valley is accessible from various entry points, with parking available near the village of Luxulyan for easy access to walking trails.
Parking for Luxulyan Valley
There is limited parking available at the entrance to Luxulyan Valley near the village of Luxulyan. Additional parking can be found at the Black Hill car park, located near the Treffry Viaduct. Arriving early is advisable, as spaces may fill up during peak times. Suitable footwear is recommended for walking the valley trails.
